Indeed, metallica is some sort of disgrace for the thrash metal legacy. Why can't it be more like it's twin brother megadeth!!(Event thought they've made some pretty lame tracks to, but much less.)

Well said Kevin. Comparing Megadeth's post-peak material to Metallica's post-peak material is basically like watching a pit-bull fight a poodle. Even though Megadeth did release a handful of Watershedders (coughRiskcough) they've kept releasing music that at least would at least give you a neck-ache. Even Cryptic Writings (still one of my favorite hard-rock albums of all time) puts most of Metallica's peak material to shame... It's not even metal!

Metallica have been given more credit than they're due. Fans constantly believe that Metallica were "the first thrash band" or "the best of the big four" or some other media-created belief, blind to the history of the genre and to the facts. Metallica have played politics with metal since day one, and they know it. No one likes politics unless they're getting paid for being corrupt.
